Edison Record 1908
$54.99 USD
Description

Edison Records was a record label and company founded by Thomas Edison in the late 19th century. It was one of the first companies to produce sound recordings commercially. Edison Records originally made phonograph cylinders (starting in the 1880s) and later produced disc records under the Diamond Disc brand in the early 1900s.

Edison’s recordings were known for their high sound quality but were not compatible with other record players, which hurt their popularity. The company struggled to compete with major labels like Victor and Columbia and eventually closed in 1929.
