Daguerreotype Portrait: Tuxedo Man
$39.99 USD
Description

A sweetheart's momento of a man in a tuxedo. The image is rather dark due to the way it was processed in the mid-1800's, clad in a delicate tin frame, and set in an enduring leather and velvet case.

Deguerreotype portraits were some of the first more widely available photography options developed, rapidly spreading throughout France and beyond. They were quickly innovated upon, resulting in the lighter and even more widespread Ambrotype, and eventually the iconic Tintype or Ferrotype portraits at the turn of the century.
